About Dr. Philpott

Dr. Adi Philpott is board certified in Family Practice, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and Hypnotherapy. She is a trained practitioner of Medical Acupuncture and has an advanced certificate in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). She has over 20 years of experience in health care with a primarily holistic focus and brings a wide diversity of skills to her practice.

Adi received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley. After careers as a computer programmer/analyst (and college instructor) and then as a massage therapist, she attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. She completed a one-year rotating internship at Community Hospital of Lancaster in Pennsylvania, followed by a two-year residency in family practice at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Dr. Philpott then went on to do an additional one-year residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas and the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Prior to moving back to Maine, Dr. Philpott worked in a private practice in New Hampshire. Her new office is conveniently located at Congress and St John streets (the old railroad building) in Portland, Maine.
